The Capital Construction Department of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office is carrying out major renovation works on the building of the former Tunguch Theater (previously operating as Metro Pub).

At present, interior finishing works are nearing completion. Due to construction needs, it has been decided to partially close a section of Turusbekov Street between Kievskaya Street and Chui Avenue to replace the heating pipeline. Currently, the west side of the street is closed to traffic, while the east side remains open.

The replacement works are scheduled to be completed by September 29, 2025, after which traffic on this section will be fully restored.
