On October 8, 2025, a press tour of construction sites was held in Bishkek with the participation of Mayor Aybek Junushaliev.

The mayor briefed members of the media on ongoing projects and modern approaches to the development of the city’s educational, sports, and transport infrastructure.

The first stop was the small sports arena of the Dolon Omurzakov Stadium, with a capacity of 5,100 spectators. The arena covers 15,342 m² and will be a two-story building with a basement. Current works include installation of glass structures, ventilation shafts, an automated fire alarm system, electrical networks, corridor, office, and VIP hall finishing, acoustic system setup, and seating installation. Preparatory work for asphalt paving is also underway. The arena will host sports and cultural events and will provide accessibility for people with disabilities. The contractor is Eurasia Stroy Service LLC. A multi-level parking facility is planned adjacent to the arena.

Next, the press toured the reconstruction of Kindergarten No. 62 “Balastan” in the Vostok-5 microdistrict. The building was returned to municipal ownership through cooperation with the State Committee for National Security of Bishkek. Using sliding beds, the kindergarten’s capacity will increase from 360 to 560 children. The facility is scheduled to open on October 20, 2025. Renovation of all rooms, installation of new equipment, landscaping, and creation of playgrounds for each group have been completed. The contractor is Lider House LLC.

The mayor then inspected the construction of the bridge on Auezov Street. Currently, 24-meter beams are being installed, along with circular elements on all four sides for utility lines. The bridge will have a total width of 24 meters and a combined length of 70 meters for the two connected sections. The roadway will include four traffic lanes and 3-meter-wide sidewalks on each side. A technical inspection was conducted jointly with the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In total, 22 beams are planned for installation.

The final stop was the additional building of School No. 3. The three-story building includes a basement for storage and technical rooms. On the school grounds, mini-football, volleyball, basketball, and workout areas will be created, along with green and recreational zones. Construction work currently includes installation of the reinforced concrete frame, formwork for beams and floors in the first block, column reinforcement in the second block, and backfilling of the third block. The contractor is Etalon Vin Spets Stroy LLC.

At the conclusion of the press tour, Mayor Aybek Junushaliev emphasized the importance of high-quality construction and the timely completion of all projects.
