On October 12, 2025, Bishkek hosted the first national corporate run for the business community of Kyrgyzstan, “Business Run KG 2025.”
The event opened with a performance by virtuoso komuz players, creating a festive and inspiring atmosphere. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Temir Sariev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek Mayor Aybek Junushaliev, and Ernis Minkeev, head of the construction company “Avangard.”
“The Bishkek municipality pays great attention to the development of sports and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. We create modern sports grounds, complexes, parks, and recreational areas for residents. Today’s event strengthens community unity and promotes healthy living. It is a vivid example of cooperation between the municipality, businesses, and the community. Previously, such events were held on city streets, causing inconvenience, but now we have modern facilities like the ‘Alga’ complex. Initially, the run was planned on Masaliev Avenue, but infrastructure development allowed us to hold it here in safe and comfortable conditions,” noted Mayor A. Junushaliev.
The run took the form of a team relay over distances of 5 km and 10 km. Each participant ran one 1 km lap; thus, teams for the 5 km event consisted of 5 people, and for the 10 km event — 10 people.
All finishers received commemorative medals, followed by an interactive contest “Guess the Sport,” which added fun and team spirit.
The event concluded with a ceremony honoring the winning teams for the 5 km and 10 km distances, leaving all participants with vivid impressions of celebration and sporting excitement.
