On October 19, 2025, the head of the Pervomaiskaya Administration, Ulan Sarylbek uulu, Director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Ulanbek Beyshenbaev, and city residents inaugurated the renovated section of Yu. Fuchika Street, from Den Xiaoping Avenue to Zhibek-Zholu Avenue.

The rehabilitation of Yu. Fuchika Street, spanning 3.2 kilometers, is being carried out in three stages. Works began on August 11, 2025, as part of the city’s plan to improve Bishkek’s road infrastructure. The contractor is DorstroyGroup LLC, with a total project cost of 277.5 million soms.

Stage 1 – from Moskovskaya Street to Den Xiaoping Avenue – has already been completed.

Stage 2, completed today, covers the section from Den Xiaoping Avenue to Zhibek-Zholu Avenue.

Stage 3, from Zhibek-Zholu Avenue to Aska-Tash, is scheduled for completion by the end of November 2025.

The renovation is significant for residents as the street serves as a key transport artery, connecting several residential and industrial areas. The upgraded infrastructure will ensure safer and more convenient traffic flow, especially in preparation for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit to be held in Bishkek in 2026.

Works include full road resurfacing, reinforcement of the road base, installation of sidewalks and curbs at bus stops, and stormwater drainage systems. The city administration continues to systematically improve Bishkek’s road network to create safe and comfortable conditions for residents and visitors.
