A ceremonial handover of specialized equipment to the municipal enterprise “Bishkekteploset” took place at the Bishkek City Hall. The event is part of the “Improving Heat Supply” project aimed at enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the city’s heat supply system.
Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, emphasized that the new equipment will significantly improve the quality, safety, and responsiveness of heat network services.
"We will not stop at what has been achieved and will continue to equip city enterprises with modern machinery. I urge everyone to use the provided equipment responsibly and take good care of it — every unit serves our city and citizens," said the mayor.
The project is implemented with the support of the World Bank – International Development Association. Its total cost is $37.9 million, including $8 million in grants.
Key modernization measures already completed include:
Reconstruction of main pipelines;
Installation of 221 individual heat points;
Repair and modernization of 1,825 meters of heat networks;
Installation of heat meters at 2,210 addresses.
These steps are aimed at increasing energy efficiency and improving the quality of life for residents.
Today, the enterprise received 27 vehicles and 33 units of special equipment, including manipulators, excavators, asphalt cutters, concrete mixers, mobile generators, and other machinery necessary for the efficient maintenance of heat networks.
