Command and staff exercises were held at the Bishkek CHP as part of the Civil Defense Training Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On the second day of the exercises, a simulated ammonia leak was conducted in the plant’s chemical workshop. The exercise aimed to train station personnel and emergency services in responding to accidents involving the release of hazardous chemicals.

During the practical session, CHP staff practiced the following procedures in the event of a leak:

Immediate notification of civil defense services;

Evacuation of personnel from the potential contamination zone;

Containment and mitigation of the simulated accident;

Providing first aid to affected individuals.

Such exercises help assess the readiness of staff and emergency services, and improve industrial safety at a strategically important facility in the capital.
