The republican command and staff civil defense exercises in Bishkek concluded after two days, conducted in accordance with the Civil Defense Training Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic. The closing ceremony was held today at TPP-2.

The event was attended by Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev. He was shown Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) tent modules, which can be deployed in emergencies. These modules are designed for temporary accommodation of affected people, provision of medical assistance, evacuation, and essential services.

All city services took part in the demonstration. Organizing such points involves selecting safe locations and equipping the tents with necessary resources, equipment, and personnel—including rescuers, medical staff, and volunteers.

The Mayor noted that Bishkek City Hall, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, actively implements a comprehensive set of measures aimed at preventing and minimizing the impact of possible emergencies, including flood prevention and other seasonal risks.

"Your work and active participation are an important contribution to the common cause of protecting the population. I thank the MES staff and all exercise participants for their high level of preparedness and professionalism," emphasized the Mayor.

The main purpose of the exercises was to practice coordination and interaction among management bodies, forces, and civil defense resources in emergency situations. Special attention was given to improving practical skills for protecting the population and territories.

Participants demonstrated a high level of readiness and completed all assigned tasks efficiently. The organizational, informational, and technical readiness of civil defense structures was tested, as well as their ability to quickly assess situations and make necessary decisions.
