All general education schools in Bishkek held class hours dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations.

As part of the events, distinguished guests visited several schools in the capital.

At Secondary School No. 100 named after B. Sarnoyev in the Ruhiy-Muras residential area, 11th-grade students attended a class hour with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov, the UN Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic Antje Grave, the Deputy Minister of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic Albert Mahmetkulov, and the Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Victoria Mozgacheva.

At Secondary School No. 69 named after T. Satylganov, 11 “D” grade students attended a class hour with the participation of the Minister of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurgul Kendirbaeva, the Head of the UNICEF Office in Kyrgyzstan Samman Tapa, and the Director of the Bishkek Department of Education Rahat Musaeva.

The class hours were held in accordance with the program approved by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the events, students learned about the history, main objectives, and activities of the United Nations, as well as its contribution to promoting peace, development, and the protection of human rights worldwide.

Such activities help cultivate a sense of civic responsibility among youth, raise awareness of the importance of international cooperation, and foster commitment to the ideals of peace and mutual understanding among nations.
