The Bishkek City Hall announces the start of the demolition of more than 1,000 garages located on municipal land.

The City Land Use Control Department has notified garage owners to vacate the municipal land and remove their garages voluntarily within five (5) days. Currently, on Repina–Kosmicheskaya Street, 701 garages are subject to demolition, of which 93 have already been removed voluntarily.

The cleared plots will be used for the construction of kindergartens, improving infrastructure and providing more opportunities for families with children.

Additionally, by the decision of the city commission, 422 garages on P. Lulumba Street, 48, are also scheduled for demolition. More than 20 garages have already been removed. A new park will be created in this location, providing a green space for recreation and walks for residents.

Bishkek City Hall urges garage owners to cooperate and understand the importance of these transformations for improving the quality of life in the city. All actions are carried out in accordance with the law and aimed at the beautification of the capital.
