In Bishkek, on the alley in front of the Kurmanjan Datka monument, the annual Korean Kimchi Festival took place. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the Bishkek City Hall.

The festival was attended by Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Viktoria Mozgachyova, His Excellency Kim Kwan-jae, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of the Korean Association of Kyrgyzstan.

In her welcoming speech, the Deputy Mayor highlighted the importance of cultural exchange between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea, emphasizing that such events help strengthen friendship between nations and allow residents of the capital to become more familiar with Korean traditions and cuisine.

Visitors to the festival enjoyed a rich program: a mini-fair selling Korean food, cosmetics, and traditional clothing, a kimchi-making master class, and performances by students featuring traditional and K-pop dances. The event concluded with a kimchi tasting, giving everyone the opportunity to try the famous Korean dish.
