Today, November 14, 2025, repair work continues on the water main in Microdistrict 5. As of 14:00, the water mains have been fully drained, and crews are installing a reliable coupling on the 500 mm cast-iron water main.

Bishkekvodokanal reports that after completing all commissioning work, trial runs will be conducted, and the pumping stations will be reconnected gradually as the water main is refilled. These measures are necessary to prevent hydraulic shock.

It is recalled that on the night of November 13, due to damage to the Microdistrict 5 water main caused by an external private company, the supply of drinking water was temporarily suspended in the following microdistricts: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, South-7, Youth Quarter, private sector below Microdistricts 3 and 4, as well as along Abay and Maldybaev Streets (above Akhunbaev Street). The Oncology Center and the Republican Center for Psychiatry and Narcology were also affected.

Additionally, reduced water pressure was observed in Microdistrict 10.

Upon receiving the report of the incident, employees of Bishkekvodokanal and the October District Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic promptly arrived at the site and worked throughout the night to address the emergency.

Currently, repair work on the water main continues, and it is expected that water supply will be fully restored by the evening of November 14, 2025.
