The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, took part in the autumn tree planting campaign, held as part of the city’s greening initiatives.
Willow trees were planted at the intersection of Chui Avenue and Tynystanova Street, while maple saplings were added at the intersection of Samanchina and Baitik Baatyr streets. Additional plantings took place at other locations across the city. In total, over 500 saplings were planted in the capital today.
During the event, the Mayor instructed the municipal enterprise “Bishkekzelenstroy” to ensure proper care for the newly planted trees. He also emphasized that the city continues its systematic work to expand green zones, improve the ecological situation, and enhance the streetscape.
By the end of the year, more than 15,000 new trees are expected to be planted in Bishkek. For reference, 7,824 trees were planted in the city during the spring campaign.
