The sixth session of the Commission of Authorized Representatives for Children’s Rights (Ombudsmen) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states was held in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
The event was attended by commission members, representatives of state bodies and institutions, and staff of the offices of the children’s rights ombudsmen from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.
On behalf of the Bishkek City Hall, Deputy Mayor Viktoria Mozgacheva participated in the meeting.
During the session, participants addressed issues concerning children engaged in begging and vagrancy, discussed the development of family-based care for orphans and children left without parental care, and examined the organization of recreation and health programs for children. The meeting also covered activities related to the protection of children’s rights and work with minors who have come into conflict with the law.
