The Municipal Enterprise “Bishkekzelenstroy” is carrying out scheduled work to clean the city’s collector and drainage networks (CDN). The cleaning is conducted both manually and using specialized equipment.
The total length of the city’s collector and drainage networks is 80.6 km, including:
- Open CDNs (OCDN) — 64,000 linear meters;
- Closed CDNs (CCDN) — 16,600 linear meters.
It should be noted that the cleaning of open and closed collector and drainage networks is conducted twice a year, in spring and autumn.
Special attention is given to areas with the highest groundwater levels, particularly the residential districts of Pervomaisky and Sverdlovsky. Sedimentation and the growth of reeds often occur in the channels, requiring regular cleaning to ensure the normal operation of the system.
The main problems hindering the functioning of closed collector and drainage networks remain:
- Illegal connections by local residents discharging household wastewater;
- Unauthorized installation of fences on plots where drainage networks pass;
- Theft of manhole covers, which poses a safety risk and complicates maintenance.
Dear residents of the capital!
The Municipal Enterprise “Bishkekzelenstroy” urges you not to pollute the irrigation channels, to treat municipal property with care, and to respect the work of city service employees.
