On November 19, 2025, a roundtable was held at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health, supported by the “Deni Sak Üy-Bülö Plus” Foundation, on the topic: “Improving Practices for Diagnosis, Referral, and Interdisciplinary Support for Children with ASD in the Kyrgyz Republic.”

The roundtable was attended by Bishkek Deputy Mayor V.A. Mozgacheva, representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Kyrgyz Republic, Director of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health Sh.A. Sulaymanov, Director of the Children’s Rehabilitation and Family Support Center of Bishkek Ch.S. Arykpaeva, Director of the NGO “Hand in Hand” Zh.S. Sydykova, an associate professor and assistant of the Department of Medical Psychology, Psychiatry, and Narcology at I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, the Dean of the Faculty of KGMIPiPK S.B. Daniyarov, as well as representatives of B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and medical staff of the Center.

The event discussed the referral pathways for families and interdisciplinary support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Emphasis was also placed on strengthening public awareness campaigns to promote tolerance in society and increasing parental knowledge for the early detection of ASD signs to ensure timely consultation with the appropriate specialists.
