On November 20, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov participated in the ceremony laying the foundation capsule for the construction of the “Altai” residential complex in Bishkek.
“Altai” is a large-scale residential and social complex project covering an area of 234 hectares. The plan includes the construction of 1,551 five-story residential buildings, comprising a total of 34,004 apartments of various layouts. The total built-up area will exceed 1,007,000 square meters.
The project also provides full social infrastructure to ensure a comfortable living environment for residents. The complex will include schools, kindergartens, clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, police stations, and fire and rescue centers. For recreation and leisure, a large park of 50 hectares, modern sports facilities, and playgrounds will be created.
The transport network will include nearly 86 kilometers of internal roads, 50 kilometers of sidewalks, and parking spaces for 34,500 vehicles.
In his speech, President Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the “Altai” complex is designed to provide the city’s growing population with affordable and modern housing. According to the state contract, 10% of the apartments, or 3,400 units, will be allocated to the government.
“In this way, we continue to make every effort to develop the capital and all regions of our country, creating conditions for the well-being of our people. We are starting the construction of this residential complex with the sincere intention of leaving a prosperous, modern, and developed Bishkek for future generations,” the Head of State said.
He stressed that this complex is the largest construction project in the region and expressed confidence that, upon completion and occupancy, it will give the area a new life, creating a renewed environment and culture.
“Considering that more than 200,000 of our citizens are currently in need of housing, such a large-scale project is a requirement of the times! Until we take care of the needs of our people and earn their blessing, true development cannot be achieved. The support and blessing of our people are our main strength. We firmly believe that the ‘Altai’ project will meet these expectations and become a work worthy of the nation’s gratitude,” the President noted.
At the conclusion of the event, the Head of State spoke with residents of the Pervomaisky district who attended the foundation capsule ceremony. Residents raised a number of social and everyday issues, including the provision of educational infrastructure, improvement of conditions in residential areas, and the resolution of communal and road-related problems.
President Sadyr Japarov listened to the proposals and instructed the relevant government authorities to comprehensively review the citizens’ requests and take the necessary measures.
