In order to prevent excessive spending on the organization of New Year events and to ensure public order, the Bishkek Mayor’s Office has adopted an order in accordance with Article 44 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Local State Administration and Local Self-Government Bodies.”

The central administration, subordinate and territorial divisions, as well as municipal enterprises and institutions of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, are prohibited from collecting funds to organize corporate (entertainment) events dedicated to the New Year celebration.

Only official events related to congratulating employees and presenting year-end awards are permitted, and exclusively within the premises of administrative buildings.

Heads of all organizations within the Bishkek Mayor’s Office system have been instructed to ensure control to prevent the collection of funds and the holding of New Year corporate events in their respective organizations.
