On November 27, 2025, Bishkek Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliyev held a joint meeting with city public transport drivers.

During the meeting, R. Aliyev, representatives of the Transport Department, and employees of Bishkek City Transport listened to drivers’ opinions and suggestions, discussing current issues and existing problems.

Key topics included:

• Acute shortage of drivers;
• Drivers’ request to eliminate cash payments, as it distracts during trips;
• Strict adherence to traffic rules;
• Increasing wages and improving working conditions for drivers.

The main goal of the event was to improve drivers’ working conditions, enhance the quality of services provided, and ensure prompt response to everyday issues.

The Deputy Mayor noted that he plans to personally ride the routes as part of monitoring the transport sector, after which several of the raised issues will be reviewed and addressed.
