A ceremonial opening of the International Youth Club Table Tennis Championship named after Y.A. Posevin took place at the “Jashtyk” sports complex.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev. In his speech, he emphasized the city municipality’s focus on sports development, youth support, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

“We are creating modern sports complexes and providing conditions for high-level competitions. Take, for example, multifunctional facilities like the ‘Alga’ and ‘Jashtyk’ sports complexes, where today’s event is held. The arena has a capacity of 5,000 spectators, and I am confident it will become a source of inspiration and a symbol of success for young athletes. The Bishkek city administration will continue to develop both mass and professional sports and build new modern sports facilities,” noted the mayor.

As an honorary guest, the mayor was given the right to perform the first symbolic serve, after which he played several rallies with young athletes, supporting the championship participants.

The championship is organized by the legal entity association “Table Tennis Association” in cooperation with the Bishkek city administration. The event runs from November 28 to 30, 2025, and brings together young athletes from neighboring countries for fair competition and outstanding achievements.
