The bridge on Auezov Street has been completed ahead of schedule and opened to traffic
On November 29, 2025, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aybek Junushaliev, and the Speaker of the Bishkek City Kenesh, Bekzhan Usenaliev, together with city residents, opened traffic on the renovated bridge on Auezov Street. This event was highly anticipated by residents of nearby neighborhoods who had been facing daily inconveniences due to limited passage.
The bridge underwent a full reconstruction with expansion. Its total width is now 24 meters, and its length is 70 meters (two combined sections). Four traffic lanes have been provided, with convenient sidewalks 3 meters wide on both sides. Two layers of asphalt have been laid, and 12 new streetlights installed.
In 2026, concrete work is planned inside the channel under the bridge: the base, side walls, and banks will be reinforced.
Before the renovation, the bridge was in a critical condition: it was two lanes wide, only 13 meters, with narrow sidewalks of 1.5–2 meters.
The reconstruction began in July and was completed 30 days ahead of schedule, which especially pleased residents who use this route daily.
