Due to the spread of information in the media claiming that families affected by the fire on Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue were left without assistance, we inform the public that the Mayor of Bishkek, Aybek Junushaliev, previously met with the residents affected by the fire.

By his order, immediate primary support was provided. All affected families were accommodated at a temporary facility, where necessary living conditions were ensured.

Following the meeting with the victims, a decision was made to provide financial assistance — 22 families received 50,000 soms each from the Mayor’s reserve fund.

It is important to note that compensation for lost housing is regulated exclusively by law and is carried out through state insurance mechanisms. Out of all affected apartments, five were insured, and only their owners will be able to receive compensation in accordance with the established norms.

With the participation of Deputy Mayor V.A. Mozgacheva and the head of the Pervomaisky District, Sarylbek uulu Ulan, explanatory work was conducted with residents regarding further accommodation, obtaining assistance, and interaction with state authorities.

Currently, various options for further support of the affected families are being considered. Issues of accommodation, additional aid measures, and coordination with government bodies — including the State Mortgage Company — will be addressed in due course.

The Bishkek City Hall, within its authority, continues to provide comprehensive support and takes all necessary measures to ensure that affected families receive the assistance due to them in full.
