Deputy Mayor of Bishkek for Social Affairs, Viktoria Mozgacheva, together with the Director of the Department of Social Development of the Bishkek City Hall, Aizada Junusova, conducted a working visit to the Gerontological Center “Ardager” following the completion of major renovations.

The renovation was carried out due to deteriorating sanitary conditions and the need to create comfortable and modern facilities for service recipients. A total of 4.7 million soms from the city budget was allocated for the repair work. The upgrade included all necessary construction works as well as landscaping of the surrounding area. Relevant state authorities conducted the acceptance inspection of the facility.

The renovation has fully updated the Center and brought it into compliance with sanitary standards. Additionally, starting December 3, the Center resumed receiving its service beneficiaries.

During the visit, Deputy Mayor Viktoria Mozgacheva noted that the renovated premises provide safe and comfortable living conditions for elderly citizens. Improving the quality of the environment for older adults remains one of the key priorities of Bishkek City Hall’s social policy.
