The opening of the Bishkek city judo championship took place at the Judo Sports and Fitness Complex.

The championship was opened by the Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Work of the Bishkek City Hall, Zhoomart Shamkanov. In his speech, he wished the athletes good luck and great victories, and encouraged them to also focus on their studies and develop in a well-rounded way.

The championship is being held from December 3 to December 4 for junior boys under 18 and young men under 21. This year, more than 200 athletes are participating. The championship is held annually.

Based on the results of the tournament, the Bishkek city team will be formed to represent the capital at the Kyrgyzstan championship in 2026.

The event is organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Work of the Bishkek City Hall, the Specialized Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve for Martial Arts, and the National Judo Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
