Raids are being conducted in Bishkek to monitor air quality.

The Municipal Inspection of the Bishkek City Hall, together with administration and technical staff, is carrying out awareness activities in city bathhouses to prevent air pollution and violations that contribute to smog formation.

On December 5, in the Pervomaisky district, 12 bathhouses were inspected. Following the inspections, the Municipal Inspection issued 2 protocols against private bathhouse owners, imposing fines totaling 15,000 KGS.

In the Leninsky district, 64 facilities were checked, including large enterprises such as the Frunze Plant and LLC AKUN, as well as bathhouses. Awareness work was conducted on the prohibition of burning unauthorized materials and using fine coal (0–13 mm). As a result of the raid, a protocol was issued to LLC IFA for 13,000 KGS under Article 434, Part 1 of the KR Code on Offenses.

In the Sverdlovsky district, 10 bathhouses were inspected, with no violations related to burning detected. Awareness discussions were held, but 2 protocols were issued totaling 6,000 KGS under Article 114 of the KR Code on Offenses for failing to maintain cleanliness and order in adjacent areas, and 16 notifications were issued. Property owners carried out cleaning and waste removal following the inspections.

In total, 86 facilities were inspected, and 5 protocols were issued with fines totaling 34,000 KGS.

The Bishkek City Hall reminds residents to strictly comply with environmental regulations. Burning textile industry waste, automotive oils, paints and coatings, plastics, rubber, rubber products, and other hazardous waste is strictly prohibited. Violations of these rules lead to air pollution, smog formation, and negative impacts on public health.
