A roundtable dedicated to the prevention of domestic, gender-based, and digital violence was held in the Sverdlovsky District.
The roundtable was organized as part of the global campaign “16 Days Against Violence” and focused on cooperation among relevant institutions in the prevention and response to domestic violence.
The event was chaired by Deputy Head A. Arstambekova. During the meeting, participants presented information on ongoing activities. Presentations were also delivered by Deputy Head of the District Police Department M. Karataev, Director of the “Chance” Crisis Center E. Tkacheva, as well as representatives of other structural units.
Special attention was given to coordinated interagency work in identifying and supporting survivors, the exchange of оперативной (operational) information, and improving the effectiveness of preventive measures in families and educational institutions.
A separate session addressed the issue of digital violence, including the dissemination of offensive content, threats, harassment, and other forms of aggression in the online environment. Participants noted that the rapid development of digital technologies requires stronger awareness-raising efforts, especially among young people, regarding online risks and protection mechanisms.
As a result of the roundtable, participants agreed to further develop interagency cooperation, strengthen preventive measures, and expand public awareness activities to prevent all forms of violence—both offline and in the digital space.
The event was held in a constructive atmosphere and became an important platform for discussing joint actions to protect vulnerable groups of the population.
