The Open Championship of the S. Jumanazarov Specialized Youth Sports School in Sport Climbing for KIDS groups was held in Bishkek at the GUM “Chynar” climbing center and the “Gazprom–Kyrgyzstan” school.
A total of 41 young athletes from the climbing and mountaineering department of the S. Jumanazarov Specialized Youth Sports School participated. Competitors competed in three age categories: 2011–2012, 2013–2014, and 2015 and younger, in the disciplines of “lead climbing” and “speed climbing.”
Winners and prize-winners were determined in all age categories.
Age category 2011–2012:
- Boys, speed climbing: 1st – Damir Marasulov, 2nd – Alibek Esenbekov, 3rd – Ivan Gulyaev
- Boys, lead climbing: 1st – Ivan Gulyaev, 2nd – Damir Marasulov, 3rd – Alibek Esenbekov
- Girls, speed climbing: 1st – Jamila Baybagysheva, 2nd – Adel Omorova, 3rd – Milena Alekseeva
- Girls, lead climbing: 1st – Darina Karikh, 2nd – Jamila Baybagysheva
Age category 2013–2014:
- Boys, both disciplines: Sergey Sergeev won first place in both lead and speed climbing
- Boys, speed climbing: 2nd – Maksim Ivanov, 3rd – Maksim Nefedov
- Boys, lead climbing: 2nd – Maksim Nefedov, 3rd – Maksim Ivanov
- Girls, both disciplines: 1st – Polina Nosova, 2nd – Ekaterina Zhurenkova, 3rd – Ulyana Ruzieva
Age category 2015 and younger:
- Boys, speed climbing: 1st – Sergey Kim, 2nd – Nikita Livintsov, 3rd – Alikhan Akunov
- Boys, lead climbing: 1st – Sergey Kim, 2nd – Alikhan Akunov, 3rd – Nikita Livintsov
- Girls, speed climbing: 1st – Vladislava Garayushchenko, 2nd – Dayana Omorova, 3rd – Ayima Baychakova
- Girls, lead climbing: 1st – Dayana Omorova, 2nd – Vladislava Garayushchenko, 3rd – Ayima Baychakova
The winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas and medals. The championship was an important stage in the development of children’s sport climbing and in forming the school’s sports reserve.
