In the city of Moscow (Russian Federation), the 26th Open Para Armwrestling Tournament “Golden Hare” was held, dedicated to the International Decade of Persons with Disabilities.

More than 600 athletes from CIS countries and various regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition, confirming the high status and large scale of the tournament.

Four athletes (persons with disabilities) from the SDYUSSHOR for Tennis, Paralympic and Strength Sports competed in the event. They demonstrated excellent results and достойно represented their sports school.

Competition results:

  • Aleksandr Prokopov — 1st place (right arm), 1st place (left arm), weight category 65 kg, category of athletes with musculoskeletal impairments (wheelchair users);
  • Omurbek Zhunusov — 1st place (left arm), 1st place (right arm), weight category 70 kg, category of athletes with musculoskeletal impairments (standing);
  • Evgeniy Nurmatov — 3rd place (right arm), weight category 100 kg (athletes with visual impairments);
    2nd place (right arm) and 2nd place (left arm) in the absolute weight category.

Participation and successful performance at the international “Golden Hare” tournament became an important stage in the athletes’ sports development, confirming their high level of skill and contributing to the advancement of para-sports.
