Bishkek City Hall Trade Union Committee Funds Redirected to Support Children with Disabilities
On the initiative of the staff of Bishkek City Hall, funds from the trade union committee, originally planned for a corporate event, were redirected to provide social support for children with disabilities.
As part of this initiative, Mayor Aybek Junushaliev visited Special School No. 30. During the visit, the mayor presented students with sports equipment designed to develop physical skills and promote children’s health.
Mayor Junushaliev congratulated the students and teaching staff on the upcoming New Year and invited the children to the mayor’s New Year celebration.
He also familiarized himself with the learning and living conditions at the school. Following the visit, a decision was made to allocate funds from the city hall’s reserve fund to equip a medical office and purchase additional specialized equipment needed to provide quality medical and rehabilitative care.
Earlier, on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Sverdlovsk District Akimat provided the school with medical equipment, including an examination couch, illuminated ophthalmology chart, procedure table, and medicine cabinet.
Special School No. 30 for children with disabilities has been operating since 1938. Currently, the school educates 288 students.
