The “Best Grandfather” and “Best Grandmother” contest was held at the “Dialogue” City House of Culture in Bishkek, aimed at preserving family values and national traditions.
The event was organized by the “Dialogue” City House of Culture of the Bishkek City Hall’s Department of Culture, in collaboration with the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek City Hall.
Eight participants took part in the contest, including four grandmothers and four grandfathers. They demonstrated respect for Kyrgyz national traditions, as well as their creative skills and talents.
The event featured embroidered works, folk craft items, and panels with Kyrgyz ornaments, reflecting the richness of national culture and the continuity of generations. Participants also performed folk songs, dances, and musical pieces on traditional instruments.
At the conclusion of the contest, all participants were awarded the medals “Best Grandfather” and “Best Grandmother.”
