Today, on September 2, 2025, a board meeting was held in the meeting room of the metropolitan municipality under the chairmanship of Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev and with the participation of Chairman of the Bishkek City Kenesh Bekzhan Baktybekovich Usenaliev.
First Deputy Mayor Mirlanbek Baigonchokov spoke about the results of socio-economic development in the first half of 2025 and plans for the second half of 2025.
According to the main macroeconomic indicators, Bishkek makes a significant contribution to the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, providing 44.6% of gross domestic product (as of 2023).
The volume of market services in the city as a whole during this period amounted to 668 741.6 million soms, the growth rate was 104.6%.
The consumer price index, reflecting the inflation rate, was 107.2% compared to the same period in 2024.
In January-June 2025, the city's enterprises produced industrial products worth 61,281.3 million soms, the physical volume index was 121.3%. The share of the city in the volume of industrial production of the republic amounted to 19.5%.
Bishkek has disbursed 29,451.9 million soms of investments in fixed assets, which is 134.8% compared to the level of the corresponding period in 2024. The share of capital investments made in Bishkek in the total volume of capital investments in the republic amounted to 25.1%.
The volume of gross construction output in January-June 2025 amounted to 30 598.8 million soms and increased 1.6 times compared to the same period in 2024. The share of gross construction output of Bishkek city in the total volume of the republic amounted to 26.2%.
The nominal average monthly salary was 53,139.4 soms, an increase of 24.7% compared to the same period in 2024.
In January-March 2025, 21,181 jobs were created (which is 3.5 times more than in the same period of 2024).
Execution of the local budget. In the first half of 2025, according to operational data, the actual revenue of the local budget amounted to 12,768.4 million soms.
The actual tax revenue amounted to 9 386.6 million soms, the plan was fulfilled by 107.7%, or 673.8 million soms more than the planned figure.
Compared to the same period in 2024, the growth rate of actual tax revenues amounted to 122.4%, while the actual execution amounted to 7,667.9 million soms, which is 1,718.7 million soms higher than last year.
In terms of non-tax income, the income amounted to 1,341.7 million soms.
Bishkek City Mayor's Office is systematically working to attract investments into the economy in order to develop the city and improve the capital's infrastructure.:
- the project "Electricity generation based on waste disposal", the investment amount is $ 95 million;
- the project "Construction of a complex of buildings with business centers, residential, social and infrastructural facilities in Bishkek on the site of the Ak-Kula racetrack, the investment amount is more than 300 million US dollars;
- The Bishkek City Sewage Treatment Plant Modernization project, the project amount is USD 56 million.
