As part of the work of the Interdepartmental Commission for Improving Air Quality in the Kyrgyz Republic, a meeting with residents on gasification issues was held in the Kolmo residential area. The event was attended by Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Ramiz Aliyev, representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Aiyl Bank and Eldik Bank.
Residents were informed that today connection to gasification has become more accessible. Previously, loans for gas connection were provided at 8% per annum, but now they are at 3%.
The reduction of the interest rate and preferential terms became possible with the help of Aiyl Bank and Eldik Bank within the framework of the state program "Gasification-3". Banks offer loans of up to 150,000 soms for up to two years, without collateral and additional fees.
A gas supply line has already been laid in the Kolmo housing estate, but at the moment 80% of households are connected to it. The rest of the residents continue to use coal and other fuels, which is not only less convenient, but also has a negative impact on the environment.
