As part of the "Open Doors Month" initiative, beneficiaries of the rehabilitation center for people with disabilities, “Ayar,” visited the State Historical Museum. The initiative is being held in all state museums of Kyrgyzstan from October 1 to 30 and provides free access to all citizens.
The excursion was an important and inspiring event for the center’s clients. Participants were able to get closer to the history and cultural heritage of the country, broaden their horizons, and spend time in an atmosphere of learning and social interaction.
The “Ayar” Rehabilitation Center provides daily support to about 100 people with disabilities living in Bishkek. The center’s main activities focus on comprehensive rehabilitation and habilitation of children and adults with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.
The work of the center promotes the development of communication and social skills, increases self-confidence, and facilitates the integration of people with disabilities into the city’s social life.
