On October 9, 2025, the Bishkek City Hall adopted Resolution No. 290 “On Certain Measures for Air Protection.”

The document aims to reduce air pollution in the capital and establishes strict restrictions on the sale, storage, and use of loose coal. Enforcement of these measures is assigned to the Municipal Inspection of the City Hall.

Additionally, municipal administrations and the Department of Fuel and Energy Complex of the City Hall are tasked with conducting explanatory work among the population regarding the objectives and details of the new measures.

The adopted measures are being implemented in accordance with Resolution No. 639 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, dated October 6, 2025, “On Certain Measures for Air Protection.”
