A collegial meeting on the preparation for the 2025–2026 autumn-winter heating season was held at the Bishkek Combined Heat and Power Plant under the chairmanship of Mayor Aybek Junushaliev.

Fuel and energy companies, together with district administrations, have taken the necessary measures to ensure proper preparation for the heating season, completing all planned activities according to approved work schedules.

Deputy Mayor and Director of the Fuel and Energy Department Nurgazy Kurmanbekov reported on the ongoing works for the heating season.

The Bishkek CHP has signed contracts with various companies for the delivery of 1.4 million tons of coal. Currently, 298 thousand tons are in the plant’s storage.

The plant currently generates up to 200 MW of power, which is planned to increase by 450 MW starting in December.

Bishkekteploset has replaced pipelines along Kurmanjan Datka Avenue from Chuy Avenue to Salieva Street. On Frunze Street, from Tynystanova Street to T. Aitmatov Street, pipes with a diameter of 700 mm were replaced with 900 mm pipes. All repair works are ongoing.

Bishkekteploenergo has completed 100% of boiler repairs.

At Bishkekselmash, installation of 70 MW water-heating boilers is underway.

In 2025, gasification of 54 residential areas is 71% complete.

It is planned to supply 240.2 thousand tons of coal for city residents, with coal of larger size this year.

This year, 1,450 needy families have been allocated 8.5 million KGS for fuel purchase, fulfilling 100% of the plan.

Following the meeting, responsible services were instructed to ensure proper preparation for the heating season.

Heads of district administrations, the Fuel and Energy Department, and the enterprises Bishkek CHP, Bishkekteploset, and Bishkekteploenergo were instructed to:

Ensure uninterrupted operation during the 2025–2026 heating season;

Comply with electricity consumption limits for budget organizations;

Carry out timely repair and restoration of boiler houses and heat networks.

Mayor Junushaliev also instructed that heating issues for social facilities under construction should be coordinated with the Fuel and Energy Department and relevant enterprises.

District municipal administrations will regularly monitor coal availability at fuel bases, work with suppliers to ensure daily fuel reserves, and, together with the Antimonopoly Service, control fuel prices.

In cooperation with the Municipal Inspectorate, they will consider assistance for entrepreneurs who have already purchased coal and will oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of adjacent areas.

The opening of the required number of fuel bases and monitoring of coal delivery schedules to residents is also planned.

“You plan to complete construction and repair work as quickly as possible but are delaying everything! When setting plans, review changes to regulations to meet deadlines. Especially since this is already the second year of large-scale construction, experience exists,” the mayor addressed the services.
