The first Bishkek Regional Youth Tourism Festival “Bishkek Travel Fest”, timed to World Tourism Day, is currently taking place in the capital.
As part of the festival, a 1,000-meter run was held for children aged 12 to 16 at Yntymak-1 Park. A total of 150 children participated in the race.
Deputy Mayor Viktoria Mozgacheva awarded the winners, handing out medals and gifts from the event sponsors.
Additionally, in the sports area, mini-tournaments and interactive games were held in Toguz Korgool, chess, checkers, arm wrestling, table games, and national sports. Visitors could participate in competitions, play intellectual games, and receive guidance from coaches.
The festival also featured 12 specialized Youth Olympic Reserve Schools (SDYUSHOR) under the Department of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Work of the Bishkek City Hall. Each school set up its own booth, showcased its activities, and organized demonstration games and open masterclasses.
It is noteworthy that parents, after learning about the activities of these sports schools, began enrolling their children.
