At Secondary School No. 101 in Bishkek, an information caravan on the prevention of violence against children was launched, organized by the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with the Child Protection Center.
The event was attended by the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Kyrgyz Republic, A.R. Chynbayeva, and Deputy Mayor of Bishkek, V.A. Mozgacheva.
The purpose of the planned activities is to foster an active life stance in children, based on respect for themselves as individuals and respect for others, as a result of positive upbringing at home and in the educational environment, within the framework of implementing the Action Plan to fulfill the concluding recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child regarding the inadmissibility of violence against children.
Deputy Mayor V.A. Mozgacheva addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of preventive work with children, teachers, and parents to create a safe and trusting school environment.
During the event, interactive sessions were held in several areas:
“Positive Parenting” – the role of the family in creating a safe environment and methods of non-violent upbringing;
“Career Guidance” – development of skills and qualities needed for the future;
“Emotional Intelligence” – for teachers, focusing on recognizing signs of bullying;
“Kahoot Game” – for students, featuring short films and a quiz on children’s rights.
The caravan concluded with a group discussion, presentation of group projects, and the awarding of winners of the competition.
