Athletes who took part in the 23rd ITF Taekwon-Do World Championship were welcomed at Manas International Airport in Bishkek.
The event was organized by the Department of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek City Hall, in cooperation with the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School named after S. Dzhumanazarov, the Taekwon-Do ITF Federation of Kyrgyzstan, and the athletes’ parents.
The World Championship took place from October 3 to 13, 2025, in Jesolo, Italy, bringing together more than 1,200 athletes from 70 countries. The national team of the Kyrgyz Republic proudly represented the country, winning five bronze medals.
ITF Taekwon-Do World Championship medalists:
Aktan Mairambekov — 3rd place, sparring (ages 18–34), up to 58 kg
Aidana Zholdosheva — 3rd place, sparring (ages 16–17), up to 58 kg
Timur Azamat uulu — 3rd place, sparring (ages 18–34), up to 52 kg
Team Sparring (Juniors 14–15 years): Bagdat Tuychiev, Timur Taranchiev, Artur Sabanov, Akbar Tursunaliev, Kudaynazar Karashev, Umar Azamatov
Team Sparring (Juniors 16–17 years): Imran Mikhmanov, Omar Keldibekov, Ramiz Daystrokov, Daniyel Zhailoobekov, Shamil Kachkynbekov, Maksat Apyshov
Among the championship participants were athletes from the S. Dzhumanazarov Specialized Sports School:
Bagdat Tuychiev — 3rd place
Imran Mikhmanov — 3rd place
Additionally, Ataybek Abdyldaev honorably represented the school on the world stage.
