Representatives of the Bishkek City Hall and the Bishkek Main Department of Urban Development and Architecture visited the Scientific Research Institute of Advanced Urban Planning to meet with the developers of the Bishkek Master Plan.

Functional Zoning

Chief Architect Irina Grishechkina and Project Manager Veronika Zykina presented proposals for defining zones, considering residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational areas. Emphasis was placed on balanced development and integrating new zones with existing city districts.

Social Infrastructure

The discussion focused on providing residents with schools, kindergartens, medical facilities, cultural and sports centers. Head of the Urban Planning Economics Department Olga Druzina suggested measures to improve the accessibility and quality of social services.

Transport Section

Solutions were reviewed for optimizing the road network, developing public transport, and improving pedestrian infrastructure, with attention to reducing traffic congestion and enhancing connectivity between districts.

Environmental Section

Issues of environmental protection, air and water quality improvement, and implementation of sustainable development practices were examined.

The meeting marked an important step in coordinating approaches and strengthening cooperation among organizations to prepare an effective and comprehensive Master Plan for Bishkek.
