The Press Service of the Bishkek City Hall took part in a citywide environmental initiative aimed at greening the capital. Together with students and teachers of School No. 72, participants planted young seedlings, contributing to the creation of a greener future for Bishkek.
A total of 110 thuja trees were planted on the school grounds, which will soon beautify the area and become part of the city’s green belt.
After the planting, participants symbolically tied bright ribbons to the trees. The City Hall’s press service and the school staff will jointly take care of the new plantings to ensure that each tree takes root and grows strong.
The event was held in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere, with every participant—from students to City Hall employees—making a meaningful contribution.
It is worth noting that by the end of the year more than 15,000 new trees will have been planted in the capital. Earlier this spring, 7,824 trees were planted, demonstrating that the city is steadily becoming greener and more comfortable for living.
