In the Pervomaisky district, a thematic event was held at the National Center for Children and Youth “Seitek” aimed at raising awareness and preventing gender-based violence.
The event was attended by the Deputy Head of the Pervomaisky District, Ch.D. Zhanykeeva, Deputy District Prosecutor M. Tursunaliev, Head of the Education Department S.K. Sherbayeva, representatives of the police, the youth service, the municipal transport unit, school principals, teachers, parents, and students.
During the event, a video on methods of preventing violence was shown, along with a theatrical performance reflecting the stories of women facing tragic life situations, prepared and performed by teachers and students of Secondary School No. 108, as well as musical performances.
Speakers emphasized that violence prevention is the responsibility of the entire society and highlighted the importance of systematic interdepartmental cooperation, especially in supporting women and children.
The “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign serves as an important mechanism for raising public awareness and promoting joint efforts between government and community organizations.
