A meeting of the Coordinating Commission on Crime Prevention was held in Bishkek, during which the readiness of city and law enforcement agencies to ensure public order and safety during the festive events for the New Year 2026 celebrations was reviewed.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Bishkek City Prosecutor’s Office, UPSM and the Bishkek City Main Directorate of Internal Affairs, the Bishkek office of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as district akims, heads of municipal services, and relevant departments.
During the session, special attention was given to measures for preventing offenses and ensuring public safety in places with large gatherings of citizens. Issues related to the prevention of crimes, including those concerning women and minors, were also discussed.
Following the meeting, responsible agencies were given specific instructions aimed at strengthening interdepartmental cooperation, improving preventive work, and ensuring a safe, organized, and peaceful conduct of New Year festivities in the capital.
