A meeting was held in the conference hall of the Bishkek City Hall with the participation of Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and Melis Murataliev, Chair of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The agenda focused on the use of the state language in local government bodies and the implementation of the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the State Language of the Kyrgyz Republic.”
Chair Melis Murataliev spoke about the law and its key provisions, emphasizing the importance of the Kyrgyz language and noting common mistakes made by state and municipal employees, as well as entrepreneurs.
Mayor Aibek Junushaliev highlighted that the city administration exercises strict control over the use of the state language in all areas of work. He emphasized:
“We must develop and promote the Kyrgyz language without infringing on the rights of other languages. The Kyrgyz language is not only a right, but also our duty.”
Representatives of the National Commission also presented digital initiatives aimed at popularizing and teaching the state language:
- “Ai Til” – artificial intelligence for working with the Kyrgyz language
- “Kyrgyzcha Onoy / Easy Kyrgyz” – a platform for learning the language
- “Bal Til” – an educational app for children
Additionally, the portal document.gov.kg continues to operate, offering more than 700 samples of applications, acts, and other official documents, along with educational videos on the agency’s YouTube channel.
